Providenciales Airport Terminal

Providenciales Airport has one compact terminal for both international and domestic flights. Inside the PLS terminal, passengers can find check-in areas, security, baggage claim, cafes, shops, ATMs, free Wi-Fi, car rental options, taxi access and the VIP Flyers Lounge, all within a short walking distance. The 2014 terminal expansion is still the last major upgrade here, and visitor numbers have roughly doubled since then, so the building gets crowded on peak days. A phased expansion is planned, starting with a 40,000 square foot extension expected to begin in 2026.

Check-in: There are check-in areas at the entrance of the terminal. The check-in area has an open-air design concept. There are automated check-in kiosks in the terminal.

Shops and dining: Food and shopping sit mostly in the departure area past security. Gilley’s Café serves food and drinks on the upper level, and there is a kiosk for Turkberry, a local frozen yogurt brand, along with a sandwich stand and a couple of bar-food spots. Gift, souvenir, duty-free and jewelry shops line the lower level, many stocking local handmade crafts. Some shops do not display prices, so ask before you buy.

ATMs and money: The terminal has a few ATMs, but they are limited and not always reliable. There is no currency exchange desk (Bureau de Change) at the airport, so exchange money before you arrive or plan on paying by card. Turks and Caicos uses the US dollar, and most shops and restaurants accept cards.

VIP lounge: The VIP Flyers Lounge sits past security, close to the boarding gates. It is a private, pay-per-use lounge run by Olympia Destination Management, not tied to any airline or credit card program. It is air-conditioned and glass-walled with runway views and seats up to about 40 people. Walk-in access is available, though it can fill up on busy days.

Wi-Fi: Free Flow Wi-Fi covers the terminal, but the connection is often slow or patchy, so download boarding passes and anything else you need before you fly.

The terminal is accessible for travelers with reduced mobility. Car rental desks are just outside the building, and taxis wait directly in front.

How many terminals does Providenciales airport have?

PLS Airport uses a single terminal, so passengers do not need to transfer between separate domestic and international buildings. The layout is simple, with check-in near the entrance, one main security area and departures facilities located close together.

What facilities are inside the PLS terminal?

The terminal covers the basics: check-in counters and kiosks, a few cafes, duty free shops, ATMs, free Wi-Fi and the VIP Flyers Lounge after security. There is no currency exchange desk, so bring some cash or plan to pay by card. It is small, so do not expect big-hub variety. Grab anything essential before you head to the airport.
